Quick Check Skills For Cracking of Polyurethane Sponge Foam

Sponge, a porous material, has good water absorption and can be used for cleaning items. Commonly used sponges are made of wood cellulose fibers or foamed plastic polymers. Also, there are natural sponges made from sponge animals, most of which are used for body cleaning or painting. In addition, there are three types of synthetic sponges made of other materials, namely low-density polyether (non-absorbent sponge), polyvinyl alcohol (highly absorbent material, no obvious pores) and polyester.

When a large piece of polyurethane foam is foamed, sometimes the surface will crack, and the indefinite length will sometimes appear on the side but sometimes in the middle. What is the reason? The following points are summarized for your reference.

1. Increase the amount of tin catalyst and reduce the amount of amine. If both are appropriate, it is not a problem with silicone oil;

2. Increase the temperature of the drying tunnel and conveyor belt in the initial foaming area;

3. Check whether the speed of the side paper and the conveyor belt are synchronized, and whether the heights of the two sides of the inclined plate are on the same horizontal line; whether the assembly line conveying and the side conveying are uniform and synchronous, it is necessary to pay attention to the close cooperation between the foaming speed and the conveying speed;

4. The edge lifting machine is well controlled, and the edge lifting film is lowered;

5. The above check points also need to match factors such as material temperature, equipment, water metering pump, external force and surrounding environment.
